River City Cinema is hosting a screening of the Camden International Film Festival Audience Award-winning documentary “Betting the Farm,” at 7 tonight at the Performing Arts Center at the Brewer Community School.
Since CIFF, and even before that, there has been a lot of buzz generated about “Betting the Farm,” which offers a look at a group of Maine dairy farmers, who, after being dropped by their national milk company, start their own company called MOO Milk.
Filmmakers Cecily Pingree and Jason Mann follow three of the farmers and their families during the first two rocky years of MOO Milk. Pingree will be on hand along with some of the farmers featured int he documentary to discuss “Betting the Farm” at tonight’s screening.
Tickets are $8, and will be available at the door.
