News update: June 11, 2011

Christopher Columbus’s (“Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief”) 1492 Pictures has partnered with CJ Entertainment & Media to obtain the remake rights to the Norwegian film “Trollhunter,” according to Deadline.

The announcement comes on the heels of Magnet’s release of the film in theaters and on VOD. Marc Haimes is set to write the remake.

Dark Castle Entertainment will team with IM Global and After Dark Films on Walter Hill’s (“The Warriors”) adaptation of Matz’s graphic novel “Bullet to the Head.”

Sylvester Stallone will star in the action-thriller, which will begin production in Louisiana later this month. Warner Bros. will distribute.
