“X-Men: First Class,” took in an estimated $3.4 million for its midnight showing, putting it on par with Marvel’s “Thor,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Whether it will keep up with “Thor’s pace,” which grossed $65.7 million in its opening weekend, is up in the air. Things will become more clear when Friday numbers come in tomorrow.

Check back tomorrow for box-office updates and a review of “X-Men: First Class.”

In other news, it’s Friday night – and it happens to be the best night to watch some fresh trailers.

Trailer(s) of the day:

The first trailer is “Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest,” the documentary from Michael Rapaport chronicling one of the best rap groups of all time. The second trailer I’m not so sure about. It’s “The Vow,” and it stars Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams as a married couple whose relationship is in jeopardy after a car crash leaves McAdams’ Paige suffering from amnesia. As always, let me know what you think.
