Here’s a box office update for you:
The Hollywood Reporter has thrown out some estimates for “The Hangover Part II’s” first day of release ranging from $25 million to $30 million, which would easily make it one of the 10 (maybe five) highest-grossing Thursday openings of all time.
That number, as THR reports, includes the estimated $10.4 million the film took in from midnight showings.
It’s likely that with that figure, the sequel will be on track to gross more than $100 million in its first five days of release. We’ll know more as the weekend nears.

In more “Total Recall” news, we found out yesterday that Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale are set to star in Len Wiseman’s remake, and today Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that John Cho (the “Harold and Kumar” franchise) will also join the cast.
According to EW, Cho will play McClane, a rep for a company that tempts Colin Farrell’s Douglas Quaid into implanting memories into his mind.
The movie is scheduled for an August 2012 release.
